So I had my sweater inside out for the first 2 hours of the day.
But that's not even that bad. What's bad is that I had noticed it was inside out before I left for the hospital (while brushing my teeth). And then I somehow forgot again.
So when I noticed the second time my reactions were 1) "Oh yeah!!" 2) crushing embarrassment 3) fear for my shrinking brain Sigh |

I'm sorry if I've been grouchy with people these last couple of weeks. I've been kinda bummed out and irritable for no good reason. I'll do better.
You guys are awesome. |

In other news...
I just finished a book called The Keep by Jennifer Egan. It was one of those 3-for-2-table impulse purchases at Borders, but it actually turned out to be pretty awesome. A little trippy, occasionally heavy-handed with its "I'm a writer, look at my clever word choice" but I still really enjoyed it. One of those books you sacrifice sleep in order to read faster.
Heroes is starting to get back to its old ways. Apparently the show's creator publicly apologized for the first few episodes, especially the West-Claire romance. You have to appreciate a man who acknowledges his mistakes. How pissed would you be if you were a certain Irish chick left alone in a certain awful place by your disappearing boyfriend? One of his powers better be awesome sexual prowess to make up for that. And I'm really starting to think that Milo Ventewhatever has an "at least 20 seconds of shirtless camera time per episode" clause in his contract.
I'm still in Burlington chilling at the outpatient clinic. Still slow, but at least I'm getting sleep. I did get to watch an angioplasty the other day, which was sweet.
The Davidson family is having Thanksgiving the Sunday before in order to accommodate me and my wisdom teeth. They're so nice :) It should be interesting, as my Dad usually does the cooking and he is currently suffering from a broken hand. I think I will have to do a lot of veggie chopping while he supervises and tells me I'm not doing it right(Flashback of learning to drive!! Aaahhhh!!)
This writers strike is going to force me into the sweaty and disease-ridden arms of reality television! Give them what they want!! |

Maya = Evil Bride of Sylar
Miguel (or whatever the fuck his name is) has to fight her to the death - or at least redemption - towards the end of the season
Am I right or did she just jump to voluntary multiple homicide a little to quickly for comfort?
And I'm so glad Mr Bennett has gone a little dark again. Much more interesting than all that "don't date boys" crap. |

I haven't really updated in a while, so here goes.
I'm one week into my outpatient internal medicine rotation at a practice in Burlington. So far, it has been nice because of the easy hours, but also kinda boring. I realized something about myself: I either want to be rushed off my feet busy or sitting on my ass doing nothing. I don't like anything in between. And we've only been seeing a few patients a day, so it hasn't been as interesting as Family Medicine or outpatient Peds. Plus some of the doctors seem a little impressed with their own awesomeness, which is annoying.
In other news, Steve Holt! won trivia again last week! It was beautiful.
I've been reading Steven Colbert's book. It is really funny, if not quite as funny as America the Book. I think a lot of his humor is in his delivery, which is hard to get in the written form. But it is still awesome and everyone should read it.
I saw the 3D Nightmare Before Christmas last week. It was AWESOME!! I wanted to watch it again as soon as it was over. They should totally release more movies in 3D. |
