| | Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk - Rufus Wainwright | ] | Last day of dissection today. It was bittersweet to say goodbye to
Barbara the Cadaver (or at least what is left of her). She taught me a
lot, and it was a cool way to learn things that a 2D picture can't
quite capture. That's a pretty big sacrifice to make, letting 8 dumbass
med students poke your body with pointy things and saw pieces off you
when you aren't even around to defend your honor. So thanks to Barbara!
I'll never forget you or the way your organs glistened in the
early-morning fluorescent light. Ok, just one more comment on that
before I start to sound too Lecteresque:
Me: "Wow, we're now part of a small group of people who have actually sawed a person in half.
"
Adesola my lab partner: "Yeah! Especially legally!
"
Not much else going on today. Massive amounts of studying need to be done.
Oh, and apparently the Golden Globe Award nominees were announced today: http://www.imdb.com/features/rto/2006/goldenglobes
Will Ferrell got one! And Johnny Depp for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Off to scavenge for food. Perhaps some berries, nuts, and tubers can be found outside.
